Kawasaki Commercial Engine Warranty Policy for AustraliaGA Power Equipment Spares warrants to the original purchaser of each new Kawasakifour-cycle engine that such product shall be free, under normal use andmaintenance, from any defect in materials and/or workmanship for a period ofthirty-six (36) months for units purchased on or after 1st September 2017. Any unitpurchased prior to 1st September 2017 will be covered for a period of twenty-four(24) months after the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions,exclusions, obligations and limitations for models FR, FS, FX, FD, FJ.COVERAGEAny material and/or workmanship in four–cycle engines found to be defective byKawasaki within the thirty-six (36) months for units purchased on or after 1stSeptember 2017. Any unit purchased prior to 1st September 2017 will be covered fora period of twenty-four (24) month warranty term for models FR, FS, FX, FD, FJ.Shall be remedied without charge for parts or labour at any authorised KawasakiEngine Dealer located in Australia. A Kawasaki part or accessory sold and installedby an authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer, which is found defective in materialand/or workmanship, within the three (3) month warranty term, shall be repaired orreplaced (at the option of Kawasaki) without charge for the part or accessory, atany authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer located in Australia.CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIESThe following obligations must be fulfilled by the owner to maintain the validityof Kawasaki Warranty for Australia. Owner must deliver the four-cycle engine to anAuthorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer for inspection, maintenance services andadjustments as per the Australian periodic maintenance chart attached. Theinspection, maintenance services and adjustments are to be performed at theowner’s expense. Owner must present proof of initial retail purchase date to anAuthorised Kawasaki Engine dealer at the time warranty repairs are performed on thefour-cycle engine.LIMITATIONSThis warranty shall not apply to or include any of the following: Repair orreplacement required as a result of accident, misuse or neglect, lack of reasonableand propermaintenance, repairs improperly performed or replacements improperly installed, useof non-genuine Kawasaki+D551 replacement parts or accessories, alterations ormodifications not recommended by Kawasaki, wear and deterioration occasioned by theby the use of the four-cycle engine, the use of stale or incorrect fuel. Routinemaintenance services, adjustments, cleaning and/or expendables such as spark plugs,lubricants, oil filters, air filters and fuel filters.LIMITED LIABILITYThe liability of Kawasaki under the thirty-six (36) months for units purchased onor after 1st September 2017. Any unit purchased prior to 1st September 2017 will becovered for a period of twenty-four (24) months warranty for models FR, FS, FX, FD,FJ is limited solely to the remedying of defects in materials and/or workmanship byan Authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer at its place of business during customarybusiness hours. This warranty does not cover inconvenience or loss of use of thefour-cycle engine or transportation of the four-cycle engine to and from theKawasaki Dealer.AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW (reg.90)Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the AustralianConsumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure andfor compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss of damage. You are alsoentitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be ofacceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.The text above applies not withstanding anything else expressed or implied to thecontrary in this Warranty document.
